As we move toward Pentecost, we continue our Grace Under Pressure series in May. How do we treat people when they hurt us? Each Sunday has something special, and we don’t want you to miss out!
May 20: Senior Sunday. Love is the theme as we honor our graduating seniors and this year’s Disciple Bible Study graduates. The youth will lead both of our services.
May 27: Pentecost Sunday. Fifty days after the Resurrection, the Holy Spirit gave birth to the church. Come, celebrate the Spirit as we remember what happened that first Pentecost, as told in Acts 2:1-11.
The Chancel Choir has some beautiful Easter anthems coming up in the 8:30 service, and the Praise Band will be leading us in praise and worship at 11:00, with Healing of the Nations (the youth praise band) making a special appearance on the 20th. You don’t want to miss a Sunday!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE
Wednesdays at 6:00 P.M.

Join us on Wednesday evenings for an evening of fun for everyone! We start with dinner and fellowship at 6:00 followed by activities for both children and adults. Bring your family together for a mid-week recharge—no stress, just time to regroup for the rest of the week. Adults may attend fun actitivities in the CFLC, handbells, Disciple, or small group studies while the kids have their MPK (Mission Possible Kid) activities. This is a great way to mesh with those you might not otherwise get acquainted with.
May 23rd: Join us for the last Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal until fall. Our new cooks will give us a preview of what's coming this fall.

SIGN UP FOR FALL BIBLE STUDIES

We have had a great year of Disciple Bible studies! Disciple II has already completed and Disciple I is rapidly approaching the finish line of their 34-week study. We will recognize them on May 20 in our worship services.
Now is the time to pre-register for our fall Disciple and Christian Believer studies. Availability of classes this fall will depend on the pre-registrations we get, so if you’re interested, be sure to sign up in church or through the church office during the month of May.
• Disciple I is a 34-week survey of the entire Bible.
• Disciple II uses the same format to go in depth with Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts.
• Disciple III focuses on the prophets and the letters of Paul.
• Disciple IV studies the poetic writings of the Old Testament (Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, etc.) and the Johannine literature in the New Testament (the Gospel and letters of John and Revelation).
• Christian Believer is a study of Christian doctrine illuminated by Scripture and tradition.
Disciple I is a prerequisite for all the others.
Each of these courses is much more involved than a basic Sunday School class, but they are all proven to be uplifting and even life-changing encounters with God’s Word and Spirit. You won’t regret a minute you spend in preparation or in class.
