We, the body of Christ at Bryant First United Methodist Church, seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit, are devoted to making disciples for Jesus Christ of those on a journey to be his follower. We take the responsibility to encourage our children to support Christ's church with their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.<

July 9-13, each evening from 6-8 pm, FUMC Bryant will have Vacation Bible School for the church family and children in the community. Children are always encouraged to bring to VBS a friend, a neighbor, a cousin or just anyone that might enjoy new friendships and learning about the parables of Jesus. Looking forward to a great week together! Vacation Bible School will be for children age 3 years of age to 5th grade and Youth in grades sixth through eighth!

Sunday School is available for children age 3-years-old to 5th Grade. Children of all ages learn the basic stories of the Christian faith. K-5th Grade meets upstairs in the FLC Movie Room. Then the children break into different groups according to age. Teaching teams go in depth with the Bible story for the week, then the children return to the Movie Room for debriefing and active music DVD's connected to their story. Our Sunday School Department follows the safe sanctuary policy. Children MUST be signed in by a parent or guardian of legal age. We are committed to keeping our children safe while in our care.

Our nursery staff are ready and willing to share the love of Jesus with your little one through hearts like Jesus. They are servants who strive to see that children in our care are safe, happy and loved. The nursery is available during both worship services on Sunday morning and Sunday School as well. The church also provides nursery care for special events and Bible studies. Our church has instituted a Safe Sanctuary policy, which follows the guidelines set by the United Methodist Church.

Acolytes help Bro. Hammett in worship by lighting candles and helping with things like the offering and Holy Communion. You may go to the FUMC Bryant Acolytes Facebook page to see the current schedule for acolytes. Please contact Debbie to join the page.

Children age 3-years-old through Kindergarten are invited to attend Children's Church during the 11:00 worship service. Following the Children's Message, they will be invited to go to the Banquet Room, where they will sing, pray, learn the Lord's Prayer, and hear a Bible story, which follows the story Bro. Hammett shares in the sanctuary. Children age 1st-5th Grade may attend Kids' Church, where they will be taught a lesson based on Bro. Hammett's sermon for that morning. The children will return at the end of worship to rejoin their parents for the dismissal with blessing.

On Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm, children K-5th are invited to participate in our Crazy 4 Christ Kids. The children learn basic Bible principles, play games, celebrate birthdays, attend Children's Choir and do monthly mission projects. Energize your week with fellowship, fun and wisdom in the Word! For more information, you may contact Debbie Owens at (501) 847-0226.

The children look forward to numerous events sponsored by the Children's Ministry throughout the year. This past year, the Hospitality Team sponsored a Daddy-Daughter Dance that was a big hit! We have an annual Palm Sunday Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt in the spring. The entire church helps with Vacation Bible School in the summer. The church-wide Fall Fest is fun time for all in the fall, and it includes a Trunk-or-Treat and the United Methodist Men's Annual Chili Cook-off. K-5th graders get to enjoy a progressive dinner around Christmas, which serves as their Christmas Party, as well as The Sights & Sounds of Christmas, where the children perform their Christmas Musical. There are many activities for the children to enjoy throughout the year!

The Children's Ministry always welcomes anyone over the age of 18
who might be interested in teaching and being a mentor to the children.
